3.         Citizens comments.

No citizens were present.

4.         Single lot split located at 95 South Main Street submitted by Daniel Winget.

Commissioner Lee asked about a shed that currently sits on a property to make sure it would not be sitting in the middle of new property lines. Commissioner Lee also asked about where the current irrigation riser stood and informed him, he would have to purchase an additional riser for the new property. Mr. Winget is outside of the City’s pressurized irrigation and waters through ditch irrigation, not city irrigation. Mr. Winget’s new proposed split will leave the 2.5 acres divided into 1.7 acres and .8 acres. No other questions were asked.

Commissioner Northrup made a motion to recommend approval to the Monroe City Council for the single lot split located at 95 South Main Street. Seconded by Commissioner Mecham.  Motion Passes 4-0

5.         Single lot split with flag lot access located at 170 West 300 South submitted by Darrel Lowe.

Jennifer Lowe is here seeking to split her lot into 2 different lots with a flag lot. Unfortunately, they do not have enough footage to be able to have a 90’ turn around. The Lowe’s are asking the city to reconsider their proposal and allow them to have a flag lot. Mrs. Lowe is wondering what the reasoning was for changing the previous ordinance? Commissioner Lee said the change was to include a 90’ circumference for fire safety protocol and the added space for a required septic system. Mrs. Lowe understands the reasoning behind the changes but also is adamant that there is plenty of space to have a home. She also does not understand why the city allows homes to be attached to each other without having to have certain restrictions. Commissioner Lee told her that the reasoning behind homes being attached from a breezeway is to avoid having to have a flag lot. Commissioner Lee told Mrs. Lowe she can file for a variance if she would like to go that route. No other questions were asked by Mrs. Lowe or by the commissioners.

6.         Adjournment.

Commissioner Northrup made the motion to adjourn at 7:21. Seconded by Commissioner Mecham. Motion Passes 4-0. Meeting adjourned.
